This new release addresses an issue that appeared at times when upgrading from v8.11 or earlier directly to v8.30. This issue did not appear at all when upgrading from v8.20 to v8.30. Some systems did not gain some of the added features from v8.30 when upgrading to that version, such as Branching, On-Screen Live 3D, Group / Ungroup, etc. This release addresses that issue as well. As always, LiveUpdate continues to be the easiest way to bring your system up to date. However, make sure there are no firewall issues on your computer preventing it from establishing communication with our server. LiveUpdate is a service free of charge, and is available on your software start page. If you need to download the files instead to perform an offline installation, you will find the different downloads available at the Service Center. NOTE! If you're performing an offline installation, make sure you select the appropriate download: * Cumulative Update is to install on top of earlier v8 installs * Incremental Update is to install over v8.30 installs only * Full Version is to install v8 on a computer that didn't have it before, or if you need to perform the same install that a brand new v8.31 cd would do * LiveUpdate should be used whenever possible for easier, better, faster installs

Version 8.30 is now available for download. This is a FREE release for all version 8.X users. Check the complete list of what’s new. Ways to download and install v8.30: 1. If your software is online, use the LiveUpdate feature from your software start page. 2. Download the full version from the Embroidery Office Service Center (www.embroideryoffice.com/eosc); choose "incremental" version only if you already are on v8.20, otherwise (previous 8.X versions) choose "full" version.

USA Distribution

As of April 1st, 2007, Mesa Distributors has ceased to be part of the Sierra Distribution Network. Mesa Distributors consequently is no longer authorized to promote, market or represent Sierra products for any purpose whatsoever. SWF East will continue to be the exclusive Sierra Distributor for the Eastern US. Sierra will handle the Western US directly through its North America division, Technology South. The decision to terminate the representation of Embroidery Office products in the Western US was made entirely by Mesa Distributors, and we regret any inconveniences their decision may cause to current users of Sierra products. While the original vendor is in the end who implicitly subscribes to a technical support contract with the customer, our users may rest assured that we at Sierra will continue to be available for any questions you may have on the use of your Embroidery Office products. Likewise, current and new customers alike will continue to be able to acquire products and upgrades through our authorized distributors, who will also be ready to provide the technical support you have come to expect. Embroidery Office 8.11 Service Pack available for Download

Embroidery Office 8.11 Service Pack contains the most relevant fixes to allow users run Embroidery Office 8 on Windows (R) Vista (R).
The Service Pack is prepared to be installed over Embroidery Office 8.10 installations. Users running versions below 8.10 should update their systems to version 8.10 before using this Service Pack.

If you have your computer where Embroidery Office version 8 is running connected to Internet, click on the News & Live Update tab in the Start Page and then click on the Software Downloads (free). The system will update automatically.

If you don't have Internet connection in your Embroidery Office version 8 machine, access the Download Center at Embroidery Office Service Center and download the version 8.11 available at the Update your software tab.

End of support for EO ver 6.5

On April 1, 2007 Sierra will end support for any product in the Embroidery Office suite version 6.5 and previous. This announcement is made according to the Lifecycle products of Sierra. After that date, Sierra will not longer provide technical support and / or new updates for these products.
However, through the service site Embroidery Office Service Center it will continue to be available the possibility to download components, access to Knowledge Center, etc.
Sierra is retiring support for these products because they are outdated (these release are older that 4 years) and run only under platforms not longer supported by their manufacturer. Sierra strongly recommends that customers with these versions update their products to the new suite of products, Embroidery Office 8, as soon as possible.
Whit the new designing system Embroidery Office version 8 customers will get huge improvements in features, productivity and design quality.

Sierra announces the launching of a new model of their laser cutting and engraving system, the SHC-100B. This equipment, totally developed and produced by the company, introduce many improvements and options regarding its predecessor, the SHC-100A.

With the SHC-100B you will be able to performs cutting and/or engraving of various materials, including different fabric types, plastics, acrylics, wood, etc. The cutting and engraving combination allows producing with great versatility.

The SHC-100B can be acquired in various configurations, with laser heads of 30, 40 or maximum power, adapting to a great variety of applications.
